(I will explain the picture in a bit! )
So we are officially home.
hello dry heat. You are fantastic :)
My hair is big and there are no bugs flying around my face.
But I have to say, there is no place like Tennessee. I just love it there. The country is absolutely gorgeous and the BBQ isn't bad either :) I am so thankful I had time to be there and it is now good to be home.
So many exciting and encouraging things have happened over the last few weeks! I am so excited that I get to see the Lord working in such beautiful ways and I am SO thankful that He shows Himself through every season of our lives.
I wanted to make sure I blogged about a few of these blessings, because they are just so good and I think I need to share them!
Yesterday our flight didn't leave until the afternoon. We decided to leave Grama and Papa's house early so we could visit Bellevue Baptist Church, which is in Memphis. This is the church where Dr. Adrian Rogers pastored. Adrian Rogers is Trey's all time favorite pastor. He has every single one of his books, listened to all of his sermons, and quotes Adrian every chance he can get. This was like going to Disneyland to Trey. Adrian passed a couple years ago, but it was so neat to go there. The campus is ENORMOUS! When we walked in, we were greeted by some church members, who gave us a map to tour the campus. It was overwhelming how beautiful this place was. Watching Trey and Dad look around was probably my favorite part. Their smiles were from ear to ear, and you could tell they were beyond encouraged. They kept saying...
wow, what a vision!
They are right. It was an incredible vision! Every piece of furniture and painting was so neatly and perfectly placed. The sanctuary was just out of this world. I could not imagine getting the privilege to go and worship the Lord in a place like that, with thousands and thousands of people.
I am so thankful we made time to go there. It really filled all of our hearts. I think our family gets discouraged sometimes. There are not many churches that are really thriving in our area. And the building situation for HeartCry just seems to be getting smashed every time we try to move forward. But seeing this, gave us hope.
This is an earthly place, but a place where thousands are able to come together and work for the Lord.
We have all had that place on our minds since we got back.
Watch out Queen Creek ::: HeartCry has vision
