{Walk Deep}

It is SEEK WEEK at CBU! The theme is "Walk Deep", and each chapel has been absolutely wonderful! The speaker, Michael Kelley, has done a great job at challenging us to really dig deep into what we believe in and not only to speak out loud the things that we don't believe or participate in, but also be out loud at what we DO love and what we stand for and believe in. On Monday, he defined the word "deep" and also the word "walk". His insight was incredible. He explained how depth is something that all of us want, but do not know how to reach. We all want "deep relationships" with the Lord, but how? The encouraging part (for me at least haha) is that having "depth" doesn't always mean being highly intellectual. Having depth sometimes means "experiencing the unknowable", through your relationship with Christ. As he defined "walk" he explained that we all have a destination in mind. While having a destination is in fact important, sometimes we let it consume us. Yes, the destination for the Christian life is getting to heaven and being closest to God, but what about our time on earth, the little that we get. He explained how Enoch was so consumed with how the Lord was within him during his time on earth, that he didn't even give thought to his destination. He consumed himself with the work of the Lord here on earth. How would our lives change if we suddenly were completely consumed with pleasing Christ and making every moment on earth count?

Anyway, this week has been great! It is getting COLD in California !!! My mom and sissy are coming to visit tomorrow!! :) and mom is bringing all of my sweaters and coats and scarves (Thank goodness!!!) I am sooo excited to see them! Hopefully we will make a Disneyland trip and just get some fun visiting time!

Well, I am off to class and choir!

Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity.
