There is no one else for me, none but Jesus.

Spring break is quickly coming to an end, and I am not ready to get back into the groove of busy schedules and apartment life!  The fact that finals week is 4 weeks away, might be the only thing that will get me through to the end. 

This spring break has been one to mark in history! Although the start was a little rocky (I got my first ticket!) the duration of the break has been incredible! I have gotten to spend sooo much time with friends (at the ASU library, of ALL places! ha) and a lot of much needed family time. 

My awesome roommates, Kayla and Taylor, surprised me and graced me with their presence for a few days in QC!

My dad shared this verse with me tonight. And to be honest, I read right over it and didn't pay much attention. He then told me to re-read this certain verse. I looked at him a little funny and read it again.  WOW ! It is so powerful!

Colossians 2:8

"See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the basic principles of this world rather than on Christ."

How easy it is to rely on the patterns and traditions of our world. Christ calls us to such a higher standard. He calls us to be holy or set apart and not of this world. 

I hope this verse encourages you to live differently, as it did me.
