62 days until I graduate from cbu.
Yes folks, two months away.
Needless to say, I have really been consuming my thoughts with what I am going to do next.
Some days I feel confident in one thing, and then other days I start feeling like I need to go somewhere else. I know God has a WONDERFUL plan, and this is a great opportunity to trust and lean on Him.
In my wisdom class we have been outlining the profile of a "Wise Person". I have really enjoyed this section of the class, well actually, I enjoy all of it. But something that has stuck in my mind this week was this concept:
A wise person is self controlled,
learns aggressively and submits aggressively.
What in the heck does this mean? Well as I have thought about it this week, I have come up with a lot of ways in which I want to start approaching things. For instance, someone who learns aggressively is a very teachable person, willing to admit they don't know something, will try to be better, and asks questions. Yes, I really did learn this week that being wise do not mean you know everything. I was encouraged ;)
I am realizing that as I am entering the next season in my life, I need to keep my hunger for learning.
Also, a wise person submits aggressively. I was a little taken back by this concept, but the more that I think about it, it is so Biblical, and such a great way to live. To aggressively submit means to heed instruction and stay calm. Stay calm to the leaders around you, and also to those in which you are leading.
Well I am far from wise, but I have definitely been intrigued by these concepts.
Glad you had time and energy to blog - that's a good thing!!
ReplyDeleteI found this today and I thought of you (and me) - it will make us think.
Either we are adrift in chaos or we are individuals, created, loved, upheld and placed purposefully, exactly where we are. Can you believe that? Can you trust God for that?

Can't wait to see where He's gonna take you!!
