Back to normal life.

I have felt so blog deprived. These past two weeks have been amazing, thrilling, exhausting, hot, fun, challenging, in my element, sleep- depriving, but absolutely wonderful. The coordinators spent a week training the FOCUS leaders and helping them get acquainted with one another. What a fabulous week that was. The FOCUS program has been really blessed this year with great leaders. Leaders that want to serve and be intentional with others. The partners all meshed with one another in a fantastic way! The week was full of challenges in Christ, and growing to love one another. I will say it again: It was blessed.
Here are some candids from the week:

August 25th was official MOVE-IN day for every freshman and transfer student. It was actually 109 degrees that day. Yep, HOT.  But the leaders had GREAT attitudes and servant hearts. The coordinators spent most of the day running water to everyone, keeping everyone hydrated. Life from that day forward has been incredible. Seeing the nervous freshman start to acclimate to their surroundings and come out of their shells, seeing the leaders step up and take on the roles of guiding the students around, life has just been encouraging! There were a few days that we worked for about 15 hours straight, went home and slept for a few hours, and started all over again. But I must admit, it was all worth it. I think orientation, though we had 300 more students than we planned for, was a definite success.

All pretty for Clash N' Bowl :)

But now it is back to normal life. But what is normal anyway? College life is absolutely chaotic, but I can't help but love every second of it. I have been in classes for two days and I already have plenty of homework, bills to pay, textbooks to find, and graduation to apply for. I probably would not admit this all of the time, but I really do love life this way. The Lord has blessed my life beyond anything I could measure, and being able to be at a Christian University, learning more every day about life, education, and most importanly: Christ.

But now that things are starting to settle down in my life, I have been talking to the Lord about what is next. December 17th is the day that I put a cap on my head, a gown to cover me, and I receive a diploma. But then what? I am thinking that I better figure that out some time pretty soon! :)    I am definitely thinking and praying about my future, but I will telll you one thing, I am not worrying over it. The Lord is SO good, He is FAITHFUL, and He knows what is good for those who follow Him. I am confident that the Lord has spectacular plans for me, and my life, and I am excited to get in the back seat and hold on tight.

One last thing: Please pray for the Van Camps. Our family is in a time of transitions and seasons of change. We all miss being together, but are confident we are where the Lord has so perfectly placed us. And if you are in AZ- give my mom and dad a great hug for me! :)
