This past weekend was so much fun! We went to dinner with the Scioscia's, and an interesting dinner to say the least! It was very entertaining! :)
Saturday I spent the day with a wonderful person! Hiked Rubidoux, had breakfast/Bible Study sesh at the top. Went to dinner at Lucille's, ventured over to Dave and Busters to play games and ended the night with a delicious Sonic strawberry cream slush :) It was an absolutely fabulous day!
Sunday, Kay and I woke up and went to church. It was absolutely wonderful! Then spent the rest of the day soaking up the sun on the beach! (After it took an hour to find parking!!!)
We had dinner on the pier at Ruby's!!! (My first time everrrr!) And ps. Chocolate banana milkshakes might be my new favorite! :)
And today was spent moving things into the apartment. Kay and Ash came and helped. I am super bummed that they won't be moving in yet! Just a few more weeks! :)
My time with the Lord has not been consistent these last few days and I am about to go crazy. I have made time every day, but not a consistent time. Joe let us off of work earlier than we expected today, and my first thought was....YES! I will have some quiet time with the Lord..all evening! There are definitely blessings to having an apartment to myself for a while. Being able to blast music and spend as much (non interrupted) time with the Lord that I possibly can :) God is so incredibly good. I have lots of challenges that I am excited to take on for this semester. Challenges on being intentional and challenges on making every single moment count. I know that the Lord has BIG plans for this year, and I cannot wait to be His hands and feet.
This evening I read in the book of Peter. I can tell that I read Peter a lot because almost every single verse in 1&2 Peter I have underlined or some type of note next to. ha. Here is a piece of scripture that I think every believer needs to instill in their minds.
Therefore, prepare your minds for action; be self-controlled; set your hope fully on the grace to be given you when Jesus Christ is revealed.
1 Peter 1:13
Well...that is an update. I love life. I love my Savior. He has blessed me beyond measure.
