Prayer is Expected.

I finished the second section of my book. Prayer.
How incredibly convicting yet so encouraging. Prayer with you and God, prayer with others, prayer about others. It is all such an incredible gift from God. Do we use or abuse it?
Basic recap : do you want to be like Christ? - Then do as He did- discipline yourself to be a person of prayer.

I think this is an area of the Christian life that can be stronger at times than others. It is also an area that sometimes we can overlook or get easily distracted from. I was encouraged as I read about prayer because it reminded me of the complete open communication that we have with our creator. I think about how much I like to talk to the close people in my life. And I admit- it is a lot. But do I spend even more time with my first love, my creator, my heavenly father?

God's word is so clear to devote ourselves to prayer ( Col. 4:2) and pray continually (1 Thes. 5:17).

I sit here encouraged, knowing the Lord that created me cares enough about me to listen and answer. Although He may not answer in a way that I feel fit, He always answers. I cannot imagine living day to day without leaning on the Lord, and being confident He hears me.

I leave for Riverside in two weeks. TWO WEEKS! To embark on the journey of my last semester in college. I am so excited and starting to get a little nervous at the same time.  The craziness of life is going to begin to start again before we know it!

Be blessed.
