This week was definitely up and down and all around!
Sunday night was the kick off of HeartCry's Vacation Bible School! The theme was "Saddle Ridge Ranch" So we were getting our cowboy and cowgirl on all week!
We just relocated to another school about four weeks ago, which caused our numbers at VBS to be a little bit lower than usual, but it was still a great week! We had a few kids ask Christ to be their Lord and Savior in their heart and lots ask deep questions.
But to be honest, this was a rough week! I don't remember the last time I had such a roller coaster of a week. My emotions were across the board! If someone said one wrong or sarcastic thing to me, I would cry or just get real quiet. I was also really deep in thought all week. I reflected so much on the passed few years. Seeing the church grow and fluctuate. It is so encouraging to see the families that have been so consistent and faithful to the ministry of Heart Cry. Also just missing my friends at cbu. I know without a doubt that the Lord, in His perfect plan, called me to cbu. I am so happy to be able to go there and have the friends and family that I have there. But I also realized that when I am away, I miss my family terribly! So, I realized that I need to savor each and every moment that I get to be with my family. I am so used to living on my own, my own schedules and routines, and though being home is different and brings about different challenges, I still love it.
But this week I was BLESSED. There were many blessings, but I would have to say the biggest one was  from all the way across the country! We had a team from Georgia come out to help us with VBS.
They were absolutely AH MA ZING!
Their servants hearts were unreal! They were so positive and ready to do the Lord's work!
I have to admit : I have always been the missionary...not the one who was receiving missionaries to their ministry. I cannot believe how full my heart was after just being around them. Thursday night was the last night that they were in AZ. We ended VBS at 9 and decided to all go to Pastor Stacey's (our youth pastor) house to play games. Well we ended up staying for hours, and not even playing one game! The entire time we talked about The Lord and what He has done in the lives of some of the teens, we talked about relationships and dating (which was probably my favorite part) we talked about embarrassing moments (there were some pretty bad ones!) and just enjoyed each other's company. I left that night wanting it to never end. I felt like I was leaving my family, my brothers and sisters.
It was so encouraging to see how the body of Christ can come together, from across the country, and in only a few short days feel like we are all family. Trey and I are already planning when we can go visit Lavonia, GA! :)
So Pleasant Hill Baptist Church... You are LOVED and MISSED

I am now packing for kids camp! I leave tomorrow after church, and come back on Friday evening.
Pray I don't get eaten by a HUGE BUG! :)
and that we can have attitude of Christ.
Honestly, children's ministry is a challenge for me. I prefer the older teens, BUT I am excited for the Lord to stretch and mold me, out of my comfort zone, for His great work.
The Lord's work is never done
and I am so excited to be apart of it!
