Time for an update!

Goodness it seems like forever since I have had time to sit and blog. You know your life is just way too hectic when you can't take a few minutes out of your day to blog. But here is an update on my life, my thoughts, and where I am going.

Well...finals are over. I am officially done with the hard part of college. I have one semester left, and it is going to consist of 12 units. should be a breeze.  :) This semester was rough. It was by far the hardest academic semester that I have ever taken on. I have never been in a position where I felt as if I had to schedule certain hours to sleep, in order to be awake to write one more page of a paper, or read one more chapter of a book. crazy. A plus side of that: I was able to save a lot more money lately. haha. I didn't have any time to spare to spend it. woo hoo  :)

Well school was over on Monday and it is now Saturday. I moved out of my apartment on Wednesday afternoon and I have been living at Kayla's ever since. In just a few short hours, I will be boarding a plane with UCO and heading to Texas for two weeks. This week has turned out to be quiet great :)

Papa Nathan woke up at 4 am on Wednesday morning, got in his car and drove to Riverside. He arrived a little before 10 and we loaded his car full of my stuff. He hugged and kissed me, and headed back to AZ. I could not believe it.  It was so sacrificial and selfless of him to do that for me. I needed to get my things home, and mom and dad have been so crazy busy. I know he didn't have to do what he did, but he did it with such a loving heart. It really showed me how selfless he really is. Papa Nathan is a great man, and I thank the Lord every chance that I get for him and grandma Peggy.

Wednesday night I went to the beach with a group of people. It was a really fun time, even though the wind was sooo crazy, and a wave totally demolished me. ha. oh well it was fun  :) But Thursday was THE DAY!!!!! I haven't had as good of a day in a super long time. Kayla and I woke up early, went to Barnes and Noble to find a good book to cuddle up and read during our long bus rides. I got an amazing book by Francine Rivers about women in the Bible. I am SO excited to read it. I will update all about it :) so do not worry!  :)  We then went and got our toes and nails done :) followed by a perfect lunch at Panera. ((MY FAVORITE)) Then we headed to the Mission Inn :) The Mission Inn is a beautiful hotel in downtown Riverside. It is old and historic but absolutely wonderful. We visit there a lot and just sit on the patios and drink coffee. But this time we got to stay there :)  THANKS Kayla's mommy!! :)

We spent a few hours roaming the hotel and taking some pictures. It was so great. I was reminded how much I love Kayla and our friendship. She truly is one of the bestest friends I could ever have. We then had to go curl our hair and put our lipstick on because UCO sang in the FOX THEATRE :) It was such a beautiful venue, and it was just a block away from Mission Inn. The concert was wonderful! Alumni came back and sang with us. It reminded me how lucky I am to be apart of such a great choir. There are times when I really don't want to be in it, but that night really showed me a lot. The Lord was truly magnified and glorified that evening. Ashley and Eric were there :) and Ashley did a fantastic job at taking pictures of the night! THANKS ASH!! :)
Then we all went back to the hotel, and felt like we were all princesses  :) We slept in the next morning and spent the day exploring and laying by the pool  :) Here are some shots from the adventures!

Well we are off to Texas for a couple weeks. I will be back on May 17th. Keep the University Choir and Orchestra in your prayers. It is that time of year for long bus rides and sleeping at strangers houses. I am not taking my computer, so I won't be able to blog. I know. I hope I survive.
I love you all. Be blessed.
