The last few days have consisted of one thing : GRADUATIONS.
I never realized how many people I know that are in school :)
haha. But really... Daddy and Trey both graduated within two days of each other. We all have never been so incredibly proud. Trey graduated from QCHS on Thursday night.
That was an interesting night, to say the least. I haven't really been back since I graduated from there three years ago. It was just different. I saw way too many people that I knew, that I haven't seen for years. I had so many flashbacks. haunted by so many memories.
Then I was overwhelmed with thanks. Thank you Lord that I have been able to see more than just the walls of this high school. Thank you that I have been able to travel, to see different parts of the world, to see where You have worked and impacted lives. Thank you for growing me, in maturity and in my faith. Teaching me to fear You, humbling me to LoveYou more than myself.
I was also very thankful for Trey. For the impact that he has made at that high school and the people that he has boldly shared his faith with. He is such a smart kid and has such a bright future.
I had been thinking for weeks about what I was going to get Trey for grad. I didn't want to just buy him something that said CONGRATS on it. So my lovely roommates gave me the idea of a money lei.
5 hours later... the lei was made :) And I creatively gave him $50 ! :)
Congrats, Trey! We love you very much!
sporting Trey's gift.....
I think he loved it :)
Friday we had Trey's graduation party. It was a come and go type of party. The turn out was INSANE! There were soooo many people at our house! It was awesome! People that we havent seen in YEARS! It was so encouraging to see so many people that love and support Trey. So THANK YOU if you were able to come out! We were blessed!
Saturday was also wonderful! Daddy graduated with his masters in theology!!!! We were SOOO PROUD! We went to a luncheon for all of the families. It was awesome to see how much dad is loved and respected. He received an award from the seminary for the best church planter. it was truly an honor.
So many friends and family came out to support him. it was wonderful :)
I leave for Tennessee in exactly 2 days!
Today I realized: I loooove being home. It is the weirdest thing, but I sleep SO WELL when I am in my own bed. When I am at school, I usually get up early to get my day started. But when I am home...I fight with getting out of bed every single morning :) I think it is a problem that I am ok with :)
off to sleep I shall go.
i will be back soon :)
be blessed.
