And so Jesus also suffered outside the city gate to make the people holy through his own blood.
Hebrews 13:12
Easter has arrived!
One of the most sacred and reverent times.
A time when we remember the ultimate sacrifice
and picture of love.
Our heavenly father roamed this earth. And shed His own perfect blood
so that we might be saved.
wow.
Can that even be fathomed?
I am not convinced that our own sinful and fleshly minds are able
to grasp the type of love that Jesus Christ showed to all the world.
And then to think : I am the reason why.
It is because of me and my sin that He had to make that sacrifice.
And something that is even crazier to grasp; He still gives us the
choice to choose Him.
How can we not choose Jesus?
He roamed this earth, a perfect being.
Yet still died a long and excruciating death.
A death that no one would ever deserve.
I was lucky enough to be able to come home this Easter.
Thank You Lord, for allowing me this blessing.
Being with my family is my ultimate happy place.
I truly love and adore each of them in their special way.
I flew in on Thursday night, and spent the day with them on Friday.
Daddy took us to breakfast, then to get my new phone all up and working.
Then, we went shopping :D
Let me tell you, spending the day with them means so much to me.
I really don't think they realize how sometimes I just sit and observe.
I observe the way we treat each other. And the things that we say.
I just cannot believe the Lord blessed me with such incredible people that I get
to be related to ! :)
But this trip has also made me think a lot about the word love.
For instance, I look at my daddy. He has an incredible amount weighing on him
all of the time.
I know that I have absolutely no idea the degree of things that he deals with
on a daily basis. Yet he always seems to provide.
And not just provide necessities,
but he always wants to give our family everything we want.
Even the simple things like walking around the entire Mills Mall.
We went in for one store, but ended up wanting to walk the entire thing.
He was tired, but still did it.
It is things that like that make it evident that my dad shows
me a type of love that is sacrificial and unconditional.
He truly radiates the love of Christ.
Then there is my incredible mom.
She stays up late ironing our clothes.
She takes 2 hours to get ready only because she obeys the demands
of everyone in between.
She is my rock for encouragement.
She is loving, and so respectful.
She cares about absolutely everything and is
one of the hardest workers that I know.
I am so thankful that the Lord has put them into my life
to show me love.
To show me an example of how Christ is Lord over someone's life;
And everything they do, they glorify Him.
Don't worry- pictures will be up soon!
Aunt Sherry, Adriane and Tate arrived from Virginia today!
Another HUGE BLESSING to be able to see them!
:)
Happy Easter!
He is ALIVE !
