It is amazing whenever I get to see his heart and how the Lord is moving and working in his life. He is getting so grown up, and its so fun just to be able to sit around and talk to him. He came along with Jordan and her parents, and that was also a lot of fun to show them around school and answer all of their questions! Here are some pics from their visit! They had ONE night in California, so what else would we do besides take a trip to the BEACH! it was cold and a little windy- but that didn't stop us from having an absolutely wonderful evening!
Saturday morning we had to say our goodbyes. I sent Trey off with a dozen of #2 donuts to take home to mom and dad. After they left, Kayla and I went for a hike up Mt. Rubidoux. Talk about BEAUTIFUL! It was just a great morning, clear and perfect weather.
When we got back it was PARTY TIME! Eric and Ashley's engagement party was going to be held at our apartment that afternoon! We had lots of baking, decorating, and setting up to do :)
4 o'clock finally rolled around and the guests started to arrive!!! We had a great turn out! We realized one thing: We sure do know how to put on a partttyyy!!! :)
Saturday night I went out on a date. This was weird for me for 2 reasons. 1: I don't go on dates very often. 2: I NEVER go on dates with someone that I don't know very well. Well, I decided to go against all of my previous standards as far as first dates, and go out on a limb and let a guy take me to Yardhouse. Believe it or not, I was extremely nervous! I think this was probably because I did not know this guy very well. Well actually, I didn't know him at all. But I think what made me even more nervous was that my friends didn't know of him either. Well, long story short, I learned my lesson. It wasn't absolutely horrible, but I just learned a lot about dates, dating, etc.
BUT I woke up to a very pleasant surprise! As Kayla and I were getting ready to leave for church, I noticed my name in giant letters in the parking lot of my apartment complex! Yep, I got WOOed!!!! This week is called "WOO WEEK" and it is where guys ask girls out on dates that are sort of pre-planned. The fun of it is thinking of creative ways to "woo" the girl. So anyways, of course I told Christian Cannon that I would go to the basketball game with him on Tuesday night! It is going to be great !
Sunday afternoon I spent on a bus going to Santa Clarita (the town where Six Flags is located) to sing for a UCO concert. By the end of the concert, I was absolutely exhausted! After our 2 hour drive back home, I went straight to bed!
1:30 AM on Monday morning, there is BANGING on our front door. This frightens all of my roommates and we call public safety. We are literally scared to death!
1:40 AM I get a call from Luke Womack. He is laughing, telling me I should never call public safety again, and that I should walk outside. Well long story short, Liz and I got WOOed for the 70's roller skating night this Wednesday !!!!! haha! all in all, it was a night of a lot of loss of sleep, but still a super fun night! And I am SO EXCITED FOR WOO WEEK !!!! :)
