I have decided
I have resolved
To wait upon You Lord
My rock and Redeemer
Shield and reward
I'll wait upon You Lord
As surely as the sun will rise
You'll come to us
Certain as the dawn appears
You'll come
Let Your glory fall as You respond to us
Spirit rain
Flood into our thirsty hearts again
You'll come
You'll come
We are not shaken
We are not moved
We wait upon You Lord
Mighty deliverer
Triumph and truth
We wait upon You Lord
I went to church last night and they sang this song. ah it is SUCH a good song! I just absolutely love the lyrics and the way Hillsong has arranged it. I have been so touched by songs lately, and I absolutely love it.
Generate was awesome last night. The worship they are able to share with everyone is just insane. I was definitely blessed by the entire evening. The series that Tony is speaking on is called "Confessions". Last night was the intro and man it was GOOD.
He explained how in 2 Timothy 3 it totally describes 2010. The difficult times are here. People are lovers of self and pleasure, lovers of money and boastful. Ungrateful and Unholy.
As I thought about this passage, it was incredible the amount of truth that it held. This stuff is all over our world today- sometimes we don't even realize that it is something that God warns us about. But Tony then went on to read us verse 12:
"Indeed, all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will be persecuted."
If we desire the Lord and desire to live for Him, we are going to be challenged, beat down, and attacked from all sides. He explained why it is so crucial to not go a day without the Lord. not one day. The word of God is our love letter from a savior who gave His own life for our sins, and now we not only hold the love letter He wrote to us, but we will surely see Him again soon. Tony went on to explain who the love letter should be speaking to us, daily. How in Matthew 7 it explains that we need to build our foundations upon a rock, and we will not be shaken or moved.
So, my prayer and my desire is to completely engulf myself in the word that the Lord gave His life for. For salvation. I want to fall in love with Jesus and constantly be building my foundations on the love letter that He wrote to me.
I am off to my second day of school. My first day was definitely a success. Classes are going to be difficult. But I can see the finish line approaching quickly.
I leave with this thought:
Fall in love with the word of God; it is the source of power, life, beautiful embrace and is the same yesterday, today and forever.
Be blessed!
